Welcome to Wyckoff

A peaceful township with lakes, parks, and a suburban feel

Wyckoff is a township nestled between two significant preserved natural spaces, Ramapo County Valley Reservation and High Mountain Park Preserve/Franklin Lakes Natural Preserve, giving it a private and serene setting. It is home to four parks, including J.A. McFaul Environmental Center, a nature and wildlife sanctuary, and a science education center, enhancing the nature-appreciating vibe of this township. Many Wyckoff homes are 3-5 bedroom homes and have brick or stone exteriors. Most houses have ample lawn space to uphold the private and peaceful atmosphere residents enjoy in Wyckoff. The scenic Goffle Brook runs through this small township connecting Maple and Rambaut Lake.

Wyckoff residents take pride in their environment by participating in the annual Team Up to Tidy Up event. On this day, resident volunteers group to pick up litter around their township, keeping it out of their parks, rivers, and lakes, and it provides a great event to make friends with your neighbors. Wyckoff Day is another great day to build community. It is hosted by the local YMCA and celebrates Wyckoff’s community with rides, food and drink vendors, live music, and games. Wyckoff residents also appreciate the finer things in life, like wine at Tomasello Winery Tasting Room at Abma’s Farm and fine chocolates at Chocolate Etc.

What to Love

Local Lifestyle

Wyckoff’s residents value their privacy and the secluded, peaceful feel of their township with their local parks and proximity to two significant nature reserves. Wyckoff is community-focused, making it an easy place to get to know neighbors and spend simple, quality time with one another at a nearby park or community event. With an emphasis on nature preservation and sustainability, Wyckoff is also a great place to support sustainability by buying local produce, food products, and cage-free eggs from Abma’s Farm, Market, Greenhouse, & Petting Zoo.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Wyckoff offers upscale eateries such as La Cambusa, an Italian restaurant with in-house, freshly made pasta like their Tagliatelle Arrabiatta, a green fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and sausage in a zesty tomato sauce. The Brick House is a steakhouse with lunch and dinner menus and also provides a cocktail, wine, and cigar bar menu. It is a place to dine for any occasion, though it is a residential favorite for hosting more significant events like weddings, bat or bar mitzvahs, baby or bridal showers, or any private party.

True to the sustainable and environmentally friendly culture of Wyckoff, Cafe Amici is a casual place to dine. It has a seasonal, farm-to-table breakfast, lunch, and dinner in-house and catering menu. If you’re seeking a fun night out, Blue Moon Mexican Cafe is a wonderful place to listen to live music over entrees or appetizers like Nachos De Luna, which can be served vegetarian or with steak, buffalo, pulled, or grilled chicken, or with meat or vegetarian chili. Blue Moon Mexican Cafe also hosts private parties and offers a catering menu.

Things to Do

Every year Wyckoff Environmental Commission hosts Wyckoff’s Fishing Derby, a fishing event at Zabriskie Pond, presenting prizes to those who catch the largest fish. Wyckoff residents have enjoyed this staple summer event for decades. They also look forward to the Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade with local vendors providing delicious food and drinks for everyone.
